Miesha Theresa Tate ( born on 18 August 1986) is an American professional mixed martial artist. She currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), in which she was a past UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate formerly competed for Strikeforce, in which she was a past Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. She was also the vice president of ONE Championship. She is currently ranked in the top 10 in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings of October 3 2022.



 



 Early life



 Tate was born in the Seattle suburb Tacoma, Washington, to Michelle Tate, and was raised by Michelle and her husband Robert Schmidt. As a teenager, she was a tomboy, she often socialized with boys from her community on playgrounds.
